About the team
We are a small independent team of two indie-developers: Liana and Salavat.
Grace is bootstrapped and fully self-funded by the subscription our users pay us.Â
We don’t spend our time seeking and pleasing investors. We just dream, sit and build it – all by ourselves.
We’re living in a digital nomad lifestyle, always on the go. We’ve been developing Grace from 7 countries for the past year.
It feels like the whole previous background led us to build Grace.Â
Salavat as a founder of 1Blocker was in a user privacy field for years. Liana was a founder of the AR-edtech startup aimed to fight the children’s phone addiction, excessive screens usage.
Here are some sweet memories and behind the scenes of our 1-year long journey.
What Grace stands for
1. Grace is a privacy-first parental control app.Â
Until now, parents had to sacrifice their children’s privacy by using other apps (Ourpact, Qustodio, etc.) that misuse MDM profiles through which they can remotely erase the child’s device and access sensitive data (phone number, installed apps, etc.). Grace doesn’t use MDM and is based on secure Screen Time API technology from Apple.
We care a lot about user privacy. We carefully consider each third-party library we add to the app. There aren’t any analytics frameworks (like Google Analytics) in our apps.Â
2. The best in class parenting experience.
Grace delivers more robust features and an easy-to-use interface that enables more parents to feel comfortable managing their children’s devices. Grace manages an unlimited number of devices for free making parental controls affordable to every family.Â
3. Grace makes parental controls reliable.Â
Grace is the first app parents can rely on. Other parental apps can be easily removed by the child to by-pass parent’s restrictions. Since Grace uses Apple’s technology, only a parent can uninstall Grace.
